Christina Martinez is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She received her Master’s degree in Somatic Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies. In a somatic approach to psychotherapy, mind is not considered as something separate from the body. Rather, it states that a lack of connection between the mind and body can cause anxiety, depression, and other mental issues.

As a therapist, she tries to reignite the connection between mind and body, by using mindfulness, sensate focus, and a several other therapeutic modalities. She loves to learn new behavioral skills to overcome anxiety or depression, and enjoys using mindfulness techniques to help with the symptoms of ADHD.
