Dr. Alex Ghobadi, DO, is an expert in preventing, diagnosing, and treating mental disorders, psychotic disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and substance-related disorders. Dr. Ghobadi has a compassionate approach to patient care and strives to improve psychiatric care through evaluation and innovation.
Dr. Ghobadi utilizes a variety of treatment approaches, including telepsychiatry, ECT, medicine, TMS therapy, psychotherapy, integrated care, and cognitive therapy. He believes in a comprehensive approach to treatment that emphasizes the importance of both medication and non-medication interventions tailored to the individual needs of his patients.
He works at Barbour & Floyd Medical Associates and SCHARP, providing outpatient psychiatry services in Lynwood and Los Angeles, California. Prior to this, he worked at the Advanced TMS Center in Ladera Ranch, California. He currently serves as a psychiatrist at SavantCare, a mental health clinic in California.
Dr. Ghobadi is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Medical Association, American Psychiatric Association, and Clinical TMS Society. He has also been recognized for his contributions to the field of psychiatry, receiving the Outstanding Resident Award for the Psychiatric Medicine Program in 2016 and being selected for the Clinical TMS Society PULSES Workshop in 2019.
