About Ayah

Ayah Beiruti is a licensed psychotherapist who believes our psychological and emotional well-being is just as important as our physical well-being. With over 10 years of experience in behavioral health, she has worked alongside individuals from different walks of life, navigating substance use, anxiety, major depression, trauma, and various life transitions.

She completed her graduate degree at Point Loma Nazarene University with a Master's Degree in Clinical Counseling. During her graduate program, she served as an intern at San Diego's Sharp McDonald Center, providing individual, group, and family therapy to patients recovering from alcohol and drug dependency. In private practice, she has also helped women navigate their journeys of infertility, pregnancy, and postpartum.

Coming from a multicultural and multireligious background, Ayah is culturally sensitive and inquisitive. She has a collaborative approach to therapy and is passionate about helping others feel grounded in their values and authenticity.

How Ayah approaches treatment

Ayah helps equip individuals with tools to improve psychological flexibility, which guides them to navigate the dualities of life. Mindfulness and relaxation techniques are implemented into her sessions, as she believes holistic wellbeing is integrative.

It is important to her to create a warm and welcoming space, as she understands the first session can feel quite vulnerable. She always starts with an introductory session, where she listens to each client's story and their reasons for seeking therapy. Once you decide to move forward, you work together to make your therapeutic goals a reality.
